

Shirley Diane Lockley was born to Raymond and Diane Betty (nee Cook) Lockley on July 12, 1969 in Brooklyn, New York. Shirley was raised by her grandparents and father and attended John Jay High School. Shirley sang in the South Brooklyn Church Choir growing up. She had a love for basketball and played many games and tournaments at The PAL Joseph Miccio Community Center in Red Hook. Shirley drove for Consolidated Bus Company for over 28 years.
Shirley had an immense love for children. Always putting herself and her needs last to those in her life. She devoted her life to her only daughter, Myeisha Jada.
Shirley leaves behind her daughter, Myeisha Jada Hart Lockley; uncles,Mitchell and Michael Cook; cousins Grisel, Eloria, Felicia, Brittney, Naima, Kamal, and Yasmine; nieces and nephews; best friends, Melody, Candy, and Nora
A visitation for Shirley will be held Friday, February 24, 2023 from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM at Joseph G. Duffy, 255 Ninth Street, Brooklyn, NY 11215, followed by a visitation from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM.
