With deep sorrow and loving remembrance, we announce the passing of a beloved mother, grandmother, wife, sister, aunt, and friend, who was called home to God after a courageous 2.5-year battle with cancer.
She was a devoted wife to her late husband, who preceded her in death ten years ago. Together, they built a life rooted in love, faith, and family. She was the proud and loving mother of five children—Stephanie, Michelle, Donny, Abigail, and Tiffany—who were the greatest joy of her life. She was also a cherished grandmother to seven grandchildren—Jazzlene, Kaleb, Jiliana, Jenisa, Emelina, Mattheo, and Brooklynn—each of whom she adored beyond measure. She is also survived by her seven loving siblings—Margherita, Vincencia, Eliana, Moacir, Renato, Reggie, and Sergio—who supported her through this difficult time.
Born in Brazil, she immigrated to the United States as a teenager, carrying with her a strong work ethic, deep family values, and a rich cultural heritage. Gifted with languages, she spoke Portuguese, Spanish, English, and Italian, and connected effortlessly with people from all walks of life.
A true homemaker at heart, she had a remarkable gift for turning a house into a home—one filled with warmth, comfort, and love. She had a passion for plants and took pride in nurturing them, just as she nurtured her family. She enjoyed shopping, delighted in sweets, and found happiness in life’s simple pleasures. She also had a deep love for capturing life through photographs, preserving moments both ordinary and extraordinary. Through her photos, she became the family historian, reminding us of the joy we shared—even during times of sadness and loss.
She wore her heart on her sleeve and loved fiercely and openly. Her kindness, generosity, and strength left a lasting impression on everyone who knew her. A woman of deep faith, she was a devoted Catholic who trusted God through every season of life, including her most difficult days.
She will be remembered for her resilience, her loving spirit, her unwavering faith, and the legacy of love she leaves behind in her children, grandchildren, and extended family. Though our hearts are broken, we find comfort knowing she is reunited with her husband and parents and resting peacefully in God’s eternal care.
She will be forever loved, deeply missed, and never forgotten.
