Thomas is survived by his father, Tomas Chez; his mother, Yim Fong Chez; and his younger brother, Brian Chez.
Thomas’s greatest joy in life was the practice of Wing Chun Kung Fu. Through this discipline, he found purpose, balance, and meaning, dedicating himself fully to its principles and lifelong pursuit. His commitment to practice shaped how he moved through the world—with focus, humility, and quiet strength.
That joy was tragically cut short by a neurodegenerative disease that afflicted him in the prime of his life. He faced this illness with dignity and resilience, even as it gradually took from him the physical expression of what he loved most.
Thomas’s life stands as a reminder of the fragility of time and the importance of living fully and intentionally in every moment. His devotion to his art and the way he carried himself will remain a lasting example to those who knew him.
Tom will be remembered for his love of family, his strength, and the warmth he shared with all who knew him. He will be deeply missed and forever loved.
