Barbara M. Morton Whitlock

Born in Newport, RI she was a daughter of the late Horace and Selena Morton. She was a Registered Nurse and worked at the Brooksville Nursing Manor, Hernando County Prison, , The Hernando County Health Department and the hospital in Dade City, FL and for Dr. Egolf. She was at the top of her Glen Bernie High School class and received a scholarship to nursing school. She played the accordion, the dulcimer and the organ. She enjoyed playing chess and backgammon as well as doing needle crafts. She was of the Catholic faith and a member of St. Anthony Catholic Church, Brooksville, FL.

She will be deeply missed by her daughter: Barbara Ann Cox of Brooksville, FL and son, Herbert L. Sanders, Jr. and his wife Victoria of Glen Bernie, MD and daughter, Patricia wife of Oscar Ramos of Lutz, FL. She has 18 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren. She is also survived by brothers: Dennis Morton of Boise, ID; James Baker and his wife Elaine Melbourne, FL and Leslie Baker and his wife, Jean of Milwaukee, WI and sister: Joan wife of Harold Kaplan of Annapolis, MD. She was preceded in death by a daughter: Theresa Baker who passed in November 2003.

There will be a memorial gathering on Wednesday, October 22, 2014 from 2:00 PM to 4: 00 PM with a prayer service at 3:00 PM at the Turner Funeral Home, 504 E. Jefferson Street, Brooksville, FL.
