Happy 19th Birthday Alaina! I am deeply missing you today, and as I go to school today I am thinking about you and I miss those lunches we did in sec 3 together. I miss the funny stories you’d tell me and the scary Roblox games we would play and how you’d always be the leader and help us complete the game. 

I hope you’re spending your birthday in heaven surrounded by people who love you ❤️

I miss you, Alaina. I'll never forget you. I remember being the new student in class, thinking I wouldn't make any friends. Little did I know I would meet my soulmate. We were so similar, we liked the same music, the same shows, and the same games. I have so many good memories to remember you by, and it hurts because I know if you were still alive I'd have so many more. When I think about you, it's painful, but I can still smile and recall the times when we were trying to hold back laughter in class. Now that you're gone, it doesn't feel right that the world continues to move. I wish I could eat another tiramisu with you, or criticize another bad DJ, or get yelled at by another lunch lady with you one more time. I wish more than anything that you were still here. You would've been an amazing artist, and you were so important to so many people. I remember one sleepover we were talking about the universe and what happens after death. You said that maybe you were the only person who actually existed. You aren't. We're all still here, missing you, wishing you were here, trying to live on with just the memory of you. If you're really watching over me, just know I'm doing my best for you. I miss you. I love you.

Happy Birthday beautiful! I am missing you deeply today like always , I know even though you are no longer here physically, you’re up above somewhere watching over your family and your friends. You’re kindness is not something I’ll ever forget Alaina. 

Today Aya and I will go out and have a slice of cake for you, and we will talk about you like we usually do and keep you alive in our memories. 

Alaina I miss you and I wished you were here so I could tell you again, that I care about you. I wish I could eat a million more lunches with you, and steal a thousand more juice boxes for you and wait a hundred more hours in line next to you. I hope to pay a visit very soon to your grave and let you know how life has been going.

I never knew you but I saw your magnolia tree and your memorial at the school garden and I searched up your name and found this website.i am deeply sad seeing all these pictures of you and your family.i hope your resting in peace and I can’t believe that I’m going to the same school you went to even though I’m only in sec 1.just to let you know your magnolia tree is growing in the garden at our school and your name will be there forever

Happy birthday Alaina ! I miss you so much

Every day I think about Alaina. Our class graduated almost a month ago to this day and that entire day all I could think about was how she was supposed to be there in the last row with me and complain about how long it was taking since our last names started with Z and V. I think about all those times in line and how we were always together waiting, whether it was for books or for school pictures. Waiting for 2 hours in the cafeteria for textbooks was tiring and long but I keep thinking about those hours and how we spent the entire time talking and laughing and how I was so thirsty I stole 2 juice boxes for you and I from the cafeteria. I felt guilty about that at the time but I don’t feel so bad about stealing it anymore because it meant that you and I could enjoy that moment. Even though that two hour wait ended up being for nothing since we had to go back the next morning for our books, I don’t regret that time not a single second because now it’s precious and I don’t see it as time waisted because I spent that time with you.

Alaina was a great friend of mine, i shared so many special moments with her and even though we didn’t talk much this year, I still cared for her very much. It’s taken me a while to write this because it’s been hard to believe i would never get to talk to her again. i miss her very much and i will keep her in my thoughts forever. I’m sorry for her families loss and wish them all the best, an amazing person was lost that day and i can’t imagine their pain. She was gone far too soon.

My deepest condolences to the family of Alaina. She is greatly missed by her friends and her teachers at Heritage Regional High School, St. Hubert, Que. I had the privilege of teaching Art to Alaina. She was an extremely talented and sweet young woman. May she rest in peace,

Alaina was half a bird, half a flower, 
In the flight of every  bird we can see Alaina's freedom, but the bonds of union with us will remain forever, just as flowers are united to the soil.    She will always be in our hearts until we meet again in heaven.  I am so glad Lucia had had Alaina as friend. Now we realise that her friendship was a gift and a privilege. They  shared so many funny moments together.  Those moments are now our treasures. Now her soul is free and I am sure she is making heaven a better place filling it with her funny and  beautiful drawings..  We are going to miss her so much, until we meet again in God's loving arms. 
We will remember her with every flower and with every  free bird flying in the sky.

We have fond memories of you playing with both our daughters.   We have great memories of spending time having tea with your mom and enjoying the lovely table of treats you would so carefully prepare and set out.

You were such an intelligent young woman and such a creative soul.  You enjoyed creating  lovely crafts that you generously gave to others .  The first craft you gifted to Lily-Rose was your beautiful 3D origami star.  Lily-Rose loved drawing with you.  We still remember you and Lily-Rose playing ping pong on the dining room table with a net made out of paper and cardboard.  

What we will remember of the precious time we had with you is your intelligence, creativity, your craftiness and your love of reading and animals.

We will miss you and we will always remember to be creative and to keep learning new things because of you.  We are better people for having had you in our lives.

My dearest daughter Alaina,

I still remember the first day you were born so clearly. You were a small baby that cried loudly, you are tiny but energetic. You cried a lot at night and slept all day long. I always hold you until the sun rises and then you slept like a quiet angel. 

I miss you so much. It’s hard to believe or endure the though that you have gone. It feels like I am in a worst nightmare and I really wish I can wake up and see you beside me.  I think about you every day and hour and minute and wish so much that you were still here: in your room, playing games; or you are just having a sleepover at your friends’ house or you are in school and texting me that mom I want to eat this or that tonight. 

You were such an intelligent, sweet, kind-hearted, and artistic young girl. You had a good sense of humor and always knew how to make your friends laugh. Many times when I sat in the room next door and I heard you laughed together with your friends, I felt happy too.

I loved all the times watching you create your art and seeing how passionate and how good you were about it. I will miss you everyday especially at my birthday and each festival when you made some arts specially for me. Unfortunately that unique happiness doesn’t exist anymore.

I can still hear your voice in my mind everyday when you say ‘mom, I am back””mom, I love you”’mom, bye”……

You said to me that I am an amazing mom. But I feel really sorry and full of regrets that there is still so much I didn’t do for you yet. So many good places I haven’t had a chance to go with you. So much life I didn’t experience with you together. How I wish to see one day you fell in love, you become a concept artist that you always want to be, you build your own family and career. You become a lovely young woman.

I remember one time when we were having dinner, you said that when you grow up and have your own house, you wanted to live with me and I was so happy about it Alaina. I felt the love and recognition by you my dear daughter.

I also miss our conversations and about the time traveler.  You were so excited about this topic and you wanted to travel back to ancient times and felt that's so cool. I guess that you are travelling to somewhere you are interested in now. Probably ancient China, wearing the traditional dresses you like and enjoys your new life now.

I felt so grateful that you accompanied me for 17 years including the time you are in my belly. I heard that babies can choose their mom from heaven and I really appreciated that you have chosen me.

You have given me so much unconditional love and made me a better and happier and stronger person.

Also thank you for coming back to see me that day in my dream. You are in your beautiful purple ancient dress, you told me that you have become a star.

I know that you’re watching over us now, when I look in the dark sky and see a bright star shinning above me. I know you are there and I hope that you’re proud of everything we’re doing in your memory. I love you so much and you will always be the most important part of my heart.

One day, we will be together again! Alaina!

Alaina was a very sweet and kind soul.  I have nothing but positive memories of her as a student in my class this year.  She was a bright, hard-working individual who was a pleasure to teach.  My deepest condolences go out to her family and friends for this loss.  She will be missed.  


I remember Alaina being the first friend i ever made in heritage because of her i was able to through my year, she was my best friend and was there for me when i needed to talk to someone. The times where i would be on discord calls for hours with her and the games we played like roblox, Minecraft (picture above) and genshin impact, and of course our matching roblox characters. Alaina was the kindest person i know. ill never forget her. I hope she can rest in peace now. and i wanna send my condolences to Alainas family. <3 Thank you for all the amazing memories and times Alaina i miss you.

Alaina was my friend of 4 years , I loved her so so so much we planned on doing so many fun things together , she loved birds . I hope she’s a bird now I love you so much Alaina I’m sorry I wasn’t there for you and I’m sorry I could’ve done more to help I wish I did and I wish I could I love you and I should’ve told you this more , I’m filled of regrets and I can’t believe you’re actually gone . You are so important to me you play a big role with my humor , style , without you I would’ve never learned how to draw , your advice has always been good and now I know my advice has always been bad you were a role model for me I wish we could’ve went to China together like we said we would and try taiyaki 鯛焼き  , there’s a new update in bloxburg and it has birds and I thought of you ,  I’m sad that your gone I’m more than sad I’m sorry I just can’t believe you’re gone . You were so beautiful I love you I hope you’re in a better place now although I wish you were here I love you so much 

This clip is from our Secondary One history project in which we had to make two skits. We laughed so many times so we had to re-film each one over and over again. I keep watching these videos and all the bloopers, they make me smile and remember her fondly as being a good friend. I hope seeing Alaina laughing makes others smile as well

Alaina is now in God’s loving arms.  We were lucky to have her among us for some time.  Her loyalty as a friend, her exquisite sense of humour, her intelligence, her generosity, her presence, were gifts that we refuse to let go.  
Alaina, we wish we had had more time with you, to get to know you better, to see you become a woman.  It hurts profoundly to let you go, but as we continue with our lives, we won’t search you in the past, but in the future, for we know we will see you again in Heaven.
