Bertha Sawicki

Sawicki Hewus, Bertha Peacefully passed away on May 25, 2020, at her residence, at the age of 89, just shy of her 90th birthday. Predeceased by her beloved husband Walter Sr, and son John Stephen, her mother Jenny Kowal and father John Sawicki. Loving Mother of Glenn and Walter Jr. and cherished Mother-in-Law to Louise and Elaine.

Proud Grandmother of Yvan, Stefan (Brittany), Arielle and Alyson. She recently became a great grandmother to lovely Enya. Special thanks to all of her friends who provided her with comfort and help during these unprecedented times and imposed isolation. Bertha was a special mother, grandmother and friend who unselfishly helped others throughout her long and great life.

Bertha enjoyed traveling to many countries around the world with her husband Walter and was able to experience the diverse culture and history they offered. She was a caring mother who enjoyed cooking and relished time with family and friends at the cottage.

She will be dearly missed by all. A private funeral and memorial will be arranged in accordance with her wishes .
