I don't know how to write this, because even though I only met her a few times, her legacy and influence have deeply impacted me. I am thinking of you all and sending you deep, deep love.

My condolences to all the Bruneau family from the Huggins sisters. Your mom was a magnificent woman, not just because she was the Queen of Swing but because she was human. A loving and helpful person, my mom had 5 girls and times were tough for her… your mom helped in so many ways. She will never be forgotten by us!

What a wonderful and special Spirit you are.  Filled with love and genuinely caring, touching many hearts of the young and the not so young.  You shared your talent with so many  allowing them to see talent in themselves. I had the pleasure of working with you creating some of the outfits your dancers  would perform in. It was an honour and a pleasure to be a little part of your feel good  routines. I thank you for your confidence in me that I was able to assist just a little bit in you majestic moments. You will always be that shiny star in many eyes. Tapping always like the beat of my heart. May you rest and then rise in eternal peace Queen Ethel. 👑💜🙏🏾

Ethel was such an inspiration to many.
I am certain she will teach tap dancing to the angels in heaven.  Peace to you great spirit! ✨

My heart goes out to Ethel’s family and friends at this very sad time.   Ethel was a very special lady who made everyone’s life better just by being in it and she will be greatly missed.

I would like to share this poem with you.   I first found it when my Dad passed away and it has always been very special and comforting to me.  Ethel liked it so much she asked me to read it at Red’s service.

I give you this one thought to keep
I am with you still - I do not sleep

I am the diamond glints on snow

Ethel, you may be gone from this earth but you will never be gone from our hearts, and as long as there is anyone, anywhere doing a shim sham or time step you will never be forgotten.
