Il laisse dans le deuil ses filles Marianna et Carmen, ses petites-filles (Sophie, Mélissa et Julie), ses six arrières-petits-enfants et son frère Jean, mais rejoint ainsi son épouse Maria Triska, leurs enfants Trudie et James, ses autres frères et sœurs et ses parents.

Né le 7 mars 1935 à La Reine, Gabriel a servi dans l’Aviation royale canadienne avant de travailler pendant près de 30 ans au Service correctionnel du Canada à St-Vincent-de-Paul à Laval. Amateur de vélo, de danse et de pétanque, il a pleinement profité de sa retraite en passant plusieurs hivers en Floride, où il fut directeur organisateur et trésorier du Cercle des bons amis du Century Village.

La famille accueillera parents et amis le dimanche 31 mars 2024 de 13 h à 16 h au salon funéraire La Maison Darche, situé au 7679, boul. Taschereau, Brossard (QC) J4Y 1A2. Une cérémonie aura lieu à 16 h dans la chapelle. Ceux qui ne peuvent s’y joindre en personne pourront le faire virtuellement : www.funeraweb.tv

En lieu et place des fleurs, des dons à sa mémoire à la Société canadienne du cancer seraient appréciés.

It is with sadness that we announce the death of Gabriel “Gaby” Ladouceur, who passed away peacefully in Longueuil on March 14, 2024, at the age of 89.

He is survived by his daughters Marianna and Carmen, his grand-daughters (Sophie, Mélissa, and Julie), his six great-grandchildren, and his brother Jean, but in so doing, he is joining his wife Maria Triska, their children Trudie and James, his other siblings, and his parents.

Born on March 7, 1935, in La Reine, Gabriel served in the Royal Canadian Air Force before working for nearly 30 years for the Correctional Service Canada at St-Vincent-de-Paul in Laval. An avid cyclist, dancer, and petanque player, he enjoyed retirement to its fullest by spending many winters in Florida, where he was organizing director and treasurer for the Cercle des bons amis at Century Village.

A memorial will be held for friends and family on Sunday, March 31, 2024, from 1pm to 4pm at the funeral home La Maison Darche, located at 7679 Taschereau Blvd, Brossard (QC) J4Y 1A2. It will be followed by a funeral service in the chapel at 4pm. Those who cannot attend the service in person may do so online: www.funeraweb.tv

In lieu of flowers, a donation in his memory to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated.
