Carol & Family - Our deepest sympathies to the Blanchard clan. I was shocked to read of Rogers passing thru the CN Pensioners Association. I have many fond memories of Roger at Quality Control in the late 60's. It was Roger who asked to go fishing with the guys from the department in LaTuque on the long weekend in May 68. Our career paths differed but when I was in Headquarters, I would see him now and then. The last time I bumped into him was at the Sportsman Show in Place Bonaventure, probably 10-12 years ago. I recall his thoughts on the Marriage Contract and how his fishing would always be a part of him. I will have a toast for him when I am fishing next weekend. Roger...Kevin and I had the pleasure of working together on a CN contract...in Mtl...with a domino effect of playing golf together and of course the monthly meet in Lachine. 

Good buddy...great friend...my prayers of tonight are for the family.

Sorry I could not attend Roger's Funeral as my wife and I were in Texas for my sons Wedding.

I had the pleasure to work with Roger while at CN. He was always very careful of his health and I can remember when we worked on a contract for CN that every lunch he would go running.

He was a loyal attendee of our CN Retirees lunches and he will be greatly missed.

Dear Carol and family: I knew Roger when I worked at CN in Montreal H.Q..
When I transferred to Winnipeg to help set up the Customer Support Center, Roger came out working with the Marketing group.
We had many good times, played a lot of golf, I went to the indoor running competitions at University of Manitoba and took pictures of the runners. We ate a lot of times at Rogers apartment, he loved to cook healthy meals, drank beer and watched football games with the gang.
Such great memories live on forever in me and my heart goes out to you.
I visited Roger at his house shortly after I moved into Green Valley, Ont. and he was most accomodating.
He came to our CN old boys reunion one year and we exchanged out stories and memories of our times in Winnipeg.

This is the friend I worked with at the C.N.R. back in the 1960's I suspect.I met with him once many years later on a visit back to Montreal and we had lunch together. Many years earlier we traveled to his hometown in Dalhousie, N.B. He was a good friend and I an sorry to hear of his passing! Love and prayers for his family.
