Alicia G Buentello

Alicia G Buentello, age 92, entered into eternal rest Friday, February 18, 2022 at Valley Regional Medical Center with her immediate family members by her side. She was born in Brownsville, Texas, in 1929 to Jose Dimas Gonzalez and Guadalupe Trevino Gonzalez.

She was united in marriage for 30 years to Raul M. Buentello and was a loving wife and mother to her four sons. We will always be thankful for the years she was with us and how she cared for us.

After attending Brownsville High School and business school, she began working at various local businesses and department stores (Kress and Neisner's) until her marriage to Raul in 1951. She always enjoyed traveling and caring for her beloved birds and garden.

She is preceded in death by her parents Jose Dimas Gonzalez and Guadalupe Trevino Gonzalez; husband, Raul M. Buentello; two brothers, Jose and Horacio Gonzalez; five sisters, Enriqueta G. Mata, Amelia G. Correa, Guadalupe Cisneros, Sara Hatley, Herminia Gonzalez; and granddaughter Erika Melissa "Missy" Buentello.

She is survived by her four sons Raul G. Buentello Jr. (Noelia), Oscar L. Buentello, Noe G. Buentello (Adelina), and Rolando G. Buentello (Claudia); grandchildren, Raul Buentello III, Randy Buentello, Oscar Daniel Buentello, Omar Buentello, Joelizza Alisha Buentello, Louie Buentello, Noe G. Buentello Jr., Rolando Buentello Jr., Vanessa Buentello and Adrian Buentello; 12 great grandchildren, 1 great great grandchild and numerous nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Raul Buentello III, Randy Buentello, Oscar Daniel Buentello, Omar Buentello, Noe G. Buentello Jr., Rolando Buentello Jr. and Adrian Buentello.

Honorary pallbearers will be Raul G. Buentello Jr., Oscar L. Buentello, Noe G. Buentello and Rolando G. Buentello.

Visitation will be Monday, February 28, 2022 from 3pm - 9pm with a prayer service at 7pm in Chapel of Angels. A mass will be held Tuesday, March 1, 2022 at St. Luke Catholic Church at 10am followed by a burial at Buena Vista Burial Park.
