Andrew Joshua Pomales, 24, will always be remembered for his adventurous spirit, creativity, and the joy he brought to those around him. At the age of nine, he began playing and collecting Pokémon cards, quickly becoming a legend among his peers for his passion and skill. His love for games grew as he mastered Nintendo and later expanded into online gaming, where he built a network of friends and a community that shared his enthusiasm.
Beyond gaming, Andrew expressed his creativity through drawing anime and playing Yu-Gi-Oh, finding joy in exploring new worlds both real and imagined. A few years ago, he picked up the guitar, teaching himself to play and adding music to his many hobbies. Andrew was always eager to try new things, sharing his discoveries and interests with family and friends alike.
Andrew is survived by his loving mother, Yolanda Pomales; grandmother, Carmen Pomales; aunt, Tamara Pomales; brother, Chris Pomales; sister-in-law, Esmie Pomales; nephew, Logan Pomales; nephew, Jaylon Pomales; nephew, Dalzenlynn Cruz; cousin, Kambren Bryant; cousin, Chelsea Bryant; cousin, Hailey Bryant; cousin, Israel Caballero; cousin, Julius Caballero; cousin, Dezzirae Caballero; cousin, Romina Silva; cousin, Damian Silva; in-law, Darryl Bryant; and in-law, Johnathan Silva. He will also be dearly missed by extended family, friends, and all those whose lives he touched.
Andrew’s memory will live on in the laughter he shared, the creativity he inspired, and the love he gave so freely.
A visitation for Andrew will be held Tuesday, September 23, 2025 from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM with a prayer service at 12:00 PM in Chapel Of Angels at Funeraria Del Angel Buena Vista, 125 Mc. Davitt Blvd, Brownsville, TX
