Anita Saenz De La Rosa, 94, passed away peacefully in her sleep on February 7, 2022. She lived a fulfilled life with much faith in all that she pursued. Anita had a passion for singing religious songs, enjoyed the outdoors watering her plants, feeding the birds, taking walks, and simply sitting outside enjoying the day or evening. All who loved her knew that a visit with her would involve receiving her beautiful blessing, “Que Dios lo Bendiga”. She was a devoted Catholic who regularly attended mass, prayed for everyone in her life, and read and taught the bible. She also loved spending an afternoon at the mall, eating at the food court, walking around the mall, bumping into people she knew or meeting people while enjoying her ice cream cone. In her younger years as a mom, she and her husband would enjoy the weekends together. On Saturdays, they would take their children shopping downtown and on Sundays they would go to Matamoros to visit her parents and her brothers. Anita really enjoyed celebrations, holidays, and festivals because it brought her family together. Having her loved ones gather in her kitchen eating her tortillas de harina, tamales, arroz con pollo and baked goodies always brought her joy. Anita had a way with always providing guidance, advice, and encouragement to all her children and many others in her life. She accomplished so much in her 94 years of life and taught many to be strong and determined. Anita Saenz De La Rosa will forever remain in our hearts with her presence felt right beside us. Que Dios la Bendiga Anita.
