Beatrice B. Gutierrez

Beatrice B. Gutierrez, 80, passed away on Tuesday, June 6, 2017 in Los Fresnos, Texas. Beatrice graduated from Incarnate Ward University in San Antonio and received her Masters from Pan American in Edingburg. Beatrice was a loving, caring friend, mother, sister, wife, and grandmother. She was a dedicated Educator for 33 years in Brownsville, Texas. Beatrice and her husband lived a rich, full life traveling all over. She also enjoyed barbecuing with family, playing cards, lotteria and bunco. She will be sorely missed. She is preceded in death by her father; Modesto Borrego Lerma, mother; Beatriz Garza, brothers; Juan Manuel Borrego, Modesto G. Borrego, Reynaldo Borrego, Adalberto Borrego, George E. Borrego, and Roberto Arturo Borrego, sister; Maria del Carmen Borrego. Left to cherish her memory are her sisters; Rosalinda (+Ted) Rinehart, Maria R. (Juan) Cavazos, son; Mario A. (Mariana) Gutierrez, daughter; Belinda (Juan A.) Portales, grandsons; Mario Gutierrez, Christian Gutierrez, Jonathan Gutierrez, Caleb S. Portales, Coby S. Portales, sisters in law; Dora Borrego, Domitila Borrego, Corina Borrego, Vicky Borrego, Coco Borrego, 2 great grandchildren, and numerous nieces, and nephews. Pallbearers will be Carlos X Borrego, Alex Ayala (Tato), Mark A. Borrego, Ray Borrego, Mario A. Gutierrez, Mario Gutierrez (Chubby). Honorary pallbearers Christian Gutierrez, Jonathan Gutierrez, Josue Portales, Caleb S. Portales, Coby S. Portales, Miguel A. del Bosque, and Rene J. Borrego. Visitation will be held Wednesday, June 7, 2017 from 1pm to 9pm and Thursday, June 8, 2017 from 9am to 9pm with a Rosary at 7pm in Funeraria Del Angel Buena Vista.
