Carlos Batres

Mr. Batres enjoyed walking very much. One of his favorite hobbies was gardening. He loved planting new plants. He was a very social person who made friends easily, everywhere he went; music was another thing really liked. He would dance and mumbled whenever he heard music, specially “La Sonora Santanera”. His favorite food was the hamburger, but not just any burger, a “Whataburger”, and when he was hungry it was a double burger.

He is preceded in death by his loving wife of 42 years, Camila Batres; his parents Maria Ortiz and Manuel Batres; his brother Pedro Flores Ortiz.

Left behing to continue the legacy of Mr. Batres are his children, Irma Batres Castillo (Guillermo Castillo Jr.), Ana E. Estrada, and Enrique Martinez (Paula Martinez); 8 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held today Tuesday, September 17, 2013 from 11am-9pm with the recitation of the Holy rosary at 7pm.

A chapel Sevice will be held Wednesday, September 18, 2013 at 10am at Funeraria Del Angel Buena Vista with burial to follow at Buena Vista Burial Park.

Serving as pallbearers will be, Guillermo Castillo Jr., Miguel Angel Castillo, Ernesto Fuentes Jr., Joe M. Cuellar, Miguel Angel Castillo Jr., and Ivan Rezendez.
