He was enlisted in the U.S. Army for 4 years and was very proud to serve his country. He loved watching the Dallas Cowboys game and hated when they lost. When his grandson was born, he was very happy because he knew that he would traditionally carry his last name for years to come. As a grandfather, he would teach and show his grandson how to use different tools around the house. He would call his grandson “Guero” and loved him unconditionally.
We also want to give a special thank you to Dr. Laura Cisneros, Dr. Downey, and her nurse, Bonnie Sterlin from Harlingen; MD. Anderson, doctors and staff who cared for him throughout his stay. Also to all family and friends for their kind words and prayers thought out this past year and four months. Words can’t express how grateful our family is.
