Nació el 4 de Noviembre 1930 en Harlingen TX, hija de Otilio Teran y Abdon Cabrera.
Dedicó su vida a su familia y siempre sera recordada por su amor, su fortaleza y su gran corazón. Lo que mas le gustaba era su jardín de matas y en su presencia las Flores Florecian. Jugar Chalupa con sus amigas y familia. Ella daba comida incluso a los extraños y le encantaba cocinar para su familia y amigos cada vez que la visitaban.
Le precedieron en la muerte su esposo Ernesto Garza, su hija Sara Rangel y sus padres Otilio Teran y Abdon Cabrera.
Le sobreviven sus hijos: Maria Guadalupe, Juan (Belen), Armando (Juanis), Bertha (Nicolas) Livingston CA, Elizabeth (Juan Carlos) Rockport TX, Ernesto (Sylvia), Carlos, Gloria (Mark) Corpus Christi TX.
Le sobreviven con amor 22 Nietos, 45 Bisnietos, y un Tataranieto André Ables (Fresno, CA).
El velorio se llevará a cabo el 18 de Enero a partir de la 1:00pm en la Funeraria Del Angel Buena Vista, ubicada en 125 McDavitt BLVD, Brownsville TX 78521, y el rezo del Rosario sera a las 7:00pm.
Los servicios funerarios se realizarán el 19 de Enero a las 12:00 del mediodía en la misma funeraria.
Posteriormente, el sepelio sera a la 1:00pm en Rose Lawn Memorial Gardens, ubicado en 4464 Old Port Isabel RD, Brownsville TX 78526.
Hoy la despedimos con tristeza, pero con la certeza de que ahora descansa en paz junto a Dios, hasta que nos volvamos a encontrar en su presencia eterna.

Carlota Teran De Garza, 95, of Brownsville, Texas, passed away on January 12, 2026.
She was born on November 4, 1930, in Harlingen, Texas, daughter of Otilio Teran and Abdon Cabrera.
She devoted her life to her family and will always be remembered for her love, strength, and great heart. What she loved most was her garden of plants, and in her presence the flowers would bloom. She enjoyed playing Chalupa with her friends and family. She gave food even to strangers and loved to cook for her family and friends whenever they visited her.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ernesto Garza, her daughter, Sara Rangel and parents Otilio Teran and Abdon Cabrera.
She is survived by her children: Maria Guadalupe; Juan (Belen); Armando (Juanis); Bertha (Nicolas) of Livingston, CA; Elizabeth (Juan Carlos) of Rockport, TX; Ernesto (Sylvia); Carlos; and Gloria (Mark) of Corpus Christi, TX.
She is also lovingly survived by 22 grandchildren, 45 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandson, André Ables, of Fresno, California.
Visitation will be held on January 18 beginning at 1:00 p.m. at Funeraria Del Angel Buena Vista, located at 125 McDavitt Blvd., Brownsville, TX 78521. The Rosary will be prayed at 7:00 p.m.
Funeral services will take place on January 19 at 12:00 noon at the same funeral home. Burial will follow at 1:00 p.m. at Rose Lawn Memorial Gardens, located at 4464 Old Port Isabel Rd., Brownsville, TX 78526.
Today we bid her farewell with sadness, but with the certainty that she now rests in peace with God, until we meet again in His eternal presence.
