Carmen entered the workforce at a young age. She had many work titles, working from the port boats, and as a migrant worker in the summers. She played the role of mother and father in a time when that wasn't common. Despite these struggles, she always provided a loving and warm home for her children. When entered retirement she loved spending time with her grandchildren. Carmen was a strong woman of faith who attended church every Sunday. She enjoyed listening to music all day, working in her garden, and attending to her animals.
Carmen was a loving mother of five children: her son Juan Rodriguez (Rosa); her son Guadalupe Rodriguez (Nancy); her son Jose Alfredo Vigañas (Elizabeth); her son Librado Vigañas (Blanca); and her daughter Brenda Martina Serrata (Luis). She will be missed by her sister Victoria Miller and her brother Cutberto Alvarez.
She leaves 17 grandchildren,40 great grandchildren, nephews, relatives, and friends to cherish her memory by all loving family.
