Cynthia Marie Lara was born in Brownsville, Texas on August 8, 1963 to Magdaleno and Josefa B. Lara.
She is preceded in death by both of her parents, her eldest brother, Magdaleno (Mac) Lara Jr.; and her brothers-in-law, Reynaldo Rodriguez and Neal Simmons.
Cynthia was the 13th child born to the Lara Family. Her brothers are Magdaleno+ (Rosie) Lara Jr., Andres (Rosario) Lara, Hector (Esther) Lara, Agustin (Josefina) Lara, and Ricardo (Belinda) Lara; sisters, Dora (Mike) Bernal, Lourdes (Neal+) Simmons, Mary (Frank) Fernandez, Esmeralda (Lester) Goodell, Rosario (Frank) Burnias, Margarita (Reynaldo+) Rodriguez, Elizabeth Gonzalez, and her loving niece, Lourdes (Albino) Carrasco. Cynthia had many nieces and nephews who also will share in her loss. We will all love and miss her dearly.
Cindy graduated from Lincoln Park Special Education School in 1985, and was voted “Best Dressed.” She loved swimming, rocking her baby doll, dancing with her brothers and sisters, and relaxing in her niece’s arms. She especially enjoyed being tickled and being tucked into bed at night.
Although we are saddened by our loss, we take comfort in knowing that she will be with our Lord and Savior and will, for the first time, see, talk, and sing like she was not able to before.
