Edith Cisneros

Edith graduated from Brownsville High School in 1974. She loved the food industry where she held several jobs in the food service. She worked at Walgreens, Lubys and for BISD food service for 10 years. She was truly devoted to her family and her love for them was endless. Her home was always open to those who needed her. She had a loving, warm spirit and an extremely generous heart. She loved taking pictures of family and friends and traveling. For someone of her quiet nature, it was fitting that she enjoyed hours working on puzzles. She will be greatly missed by all those who loved her.

Mrs. Cisneros is preceded in death by her parents, Enrique Alaniz, Sr. and Ma. Oralia Salinas Alaniz.

She is survived by her devoted husband of 36 years, Margil Cisneros; daughter, Edith Michelle Cisneros; brothers and sisters, Ms. Mary Peña, Mr. Enrique Alaniz, Jr. (Norma), Ms. Enida Alaniz, Mr. Edwin Alaniz, Sr. (Mary Claire), Sr., Mrs. Elizabeth Ochoa (David); nieces, Leslie Galvan, Sabrina Ochoa, Audrey Ochoa, Amanda Rangel, Kimberly Alaniz, Elaine Guzman, Cassandra Alaniz and Elizabeth Ashley Perez; nephews, Edwin Alaniz, Jr., Enrique Alaniz III, Christopher Alaniz, Kyle Alaniz and Bryan Abraham.

Visitation will be held from 1 pm to 9 pm with a Rosary at 7pm on Sunday, May 6, 2012 at Funeraria Del Angel Buena Vista.

Mass of Resurrection will be held at 10 am on Monday, May 7, 2012 at St. Luke Catholic Church, 2800 Rockwell Drive Brownsville, TX with a committal service to follow at Buena Vista Burial Park.

Serving as pallbearers will be Aaron Galvan, Edwin Alaniz, Sr., Christopher Lee Alaniz, Edwin Alaniz, Jr., Kyle Alaniz and Javier Guzman.
