

Eduardo “Wayo” Ruth Jr., a beloved son, brother, spouse, father, nephew, cousin, and friend, passed away on September 3rd 2023 at the age of 41.
Eduardo was born on October 10th, 1981, in Brownsville, TX to Eduardo Ruth Sr. and Maria De Los Angeles Jenkins-Martinez. He was a shining light from the moment he entered this world, his smile, laugh, and energy would continue to touch the lives of all who had the privilege of knowing him.
Eduardo Ruth Jr. was preceded in death by his father Eduardo “Wayo” Ruth Sr., his Paternal Grandfather Charles Ruth, Both his maternal grandparents Rosalio Martinez and Maria De Jesus Martinez.
Eduardo Ruth Jr. is survived by his mother Maria De Los Angeles Jenkins (Richard), his brother James William Ruth (Ivonne), his brother Erick Lee Ruth, his beloved daughter Mary Jane Ruth, his partner Vanessa Aguilar, his nephews, his nieces, his uncles, his aunts, and his cousins.
Eduardo Jr.’s pallbearers will be his brothers James William Ruth, Erick Lee Ruth, his cousins Edgar R. Martinez, Rigoberto Bocardo Jr., Juan G. Garcia, Francisco Sanchez Jr., Ismael Salazar, Charles Ruth III, Enrique Cabada Jr., and his nephew Eduardo “Lalo” Ruth; His Honorary pallbearers will be his cousin Luis E. Martinez and his nephew James Ruth Jr.
Eduardo’s journey was marked by a passion for life and a commitment to making the people he loved smile and laugh. He was an alum of Porter HS and pursued a career in a multitude of professions including welding, mechanic, landscaping, and car salesman to name a few, as a car salesman he excelled in buying and reselling trucks, cars and trailers. His dedication and work ethic were truly admirable.
Outside of his working life, Eduardo was a person who saturated his loved ones with life and laughter, he had a unique ability to ignite smiles in others and create lasting memories. Wayo was always there to lend a helping hand to whomever needed it. Eduardo’s Daughter, Mary Jane, was the absolute gem of his life, and he cherished every moment spent with her.
Eduardo leaves behind a legacy full of life, and joy. He will be deeply missed by his family, his loved ones, his friends, and all who had the benefit of knowing him. While our hearts ache at his absence, we find solace and smiles in the memories we shared with the impact he had on our lives.
A celebration of Eduardo “Wayo” Ruth Jr’s life will be held Friday, September 15, 2023 from 12PM to 9PM with a Rosary at 7PM at Rose Lawn Funeral Home, 4464 Old Port Isabel Road, Brownsville, Texas 78526. A chapel service will occur Saturday, September 16, 2023 at 10AM, 4464 Old Port Isabel Road, Brownsville, Texas 78526. Followed by a burial at 11AM at Roselawn Memorial Gardens, 4464 Old Port Isabel Road, Brownsville, Texas 78526.
Eduardo Ruth Jr. will forever remain in our hearts as a loving son, an awesome brother, a devoted spouse, a doting father, a wonderful cousin and a dear friend. May his soul rest in eternal peace, and may his memory continue to inspire us all to live our lives full of joyous energy and love like he did so effortlessly.
