Feliciano Hernandez

Feliciano was a man of strong faith and dedication. For many years, he enjoyed playing guitar and singing in the choir at Mission San Juan Diego of Guadalupe, serving faithfully until age prevented him from playing, after which he continued to volunteer by helping with cleaning and maintenance. He was also a proud member of the Knights of Columbus, contributing his time and efforts to support the organization and its mission.

Feliciano was a devoted community leader and advocate with Valley Interfaith, an organization committed to strengthening under-resourced neighborhoods. He played a pivotal role in improving the community where he lived, helping to establish potable water and sewage lines, assisting in naming the streets, ensuring roadways were maintained with caliche, and ultimately supporting the paving of roads with blacktop. He worked tirelessly to promote proper development and to ensure the basic needs of his neighbors and community were met, and that everyone had the support and resources they needed to thrive.

A true car enthusiast, Feliciano loved attending car shows and keeping up with the latest vehicle models. He also enjoyed having his picture taken and was always ready with a warm smile.

A skilled mechanic, plumber, roofer, and handyman, Feliciano could do it all. He was devoted to his home, his work, and helping wherever he was needed, always giving his best with humility and care.

Above all, Feliciano was a devoted family man. His hard work, faith, charisma, loyalty, and warm smile will never be forgotten. He was a loving husband and father, a great brother to his siblings, a wonderful uncle to his nieces and nephews, an involved and loving grandfather to his grandsons and granddaughters, and a cherished neighbor in his community.

He is survived by his loving wife, Elva Hernandez; his children, José David Hernandez (Alma Hernandez), Elva Liliana Perez, Evetier Hernandez (Maria Isabel Hernandez), and Feliciano Hernandez Jr. (Gabriela Loza); his sister, Luciana Hernandez; and his beloved grandchildren, Evetier Hernandez Jr., David Hernandez II, Amanda Gonzalez, Christian Hernandez, Lillian Perez, Nataly Hernandez, Sofia Hernandez, and Liana Hernandez.

Feliciano will always be remembered for his Good Samaritan spirit, unwavering faith, and his golden smile that will never fade. Though he has gone to heaven, he will never be forgotten on earth.

We invite all who knew and loved him to join us in celebrating his life, paying homage to Feliciano, and honoring his ascension to the Kingdom of Heaven.

Funeral services will be held at Funeraria Del Angel Rose Lawn, Friday, January 30, 2026 from 4:30 pm to 10:00 pm with a rosary at 7:00 pm.

On Saturday, January 31, 2026, a mass will be held at Mission San Juan Diego of Guadalupe at 10:00 am, followed shortly by burial at 11:00 am at Roselawn Memorial Gardens.

Con profundo pesar, anunciamos el fallecimiento de Feliciano Hernandez. Nació el 8 de junio de 1939 y fue llamado a casa a la edad de 86 años el 26 de enero de 2026.

Feliciano fue un hombre de firme fe y dedicación. Durante muchos años, disfrutó tocar la guitarra y cantar en el coro de la Misión San Juan Diego de Guadalupe, sirviendo fielmente hasta que la edad le impidió tocar, después de lo cual continuó como voluntario ayudando con la limpieza y el mantenimiento. También fue un orgulloso miembro de los Caballeros de Colón, contribuyendo con su tiempo y esfuerzos para apoyar la misión de la organización.

Feliciano también fue un líder comunitario y defensor comprometido con Valley Interfaith, una organización dedicada a fortalecer vecindarios con recursos limitados. Desempeñó un papel fundamental en la mejora de la comunidad donde vivía, ayudando a establecer líneas de agua potable y sistemas de alcantarillado, colaborando en el nombramiento de las calles, asegurando que las carreteras se mantuvieran con caliche y, finalmente, apoyando el pavimentado de las calles con asfalto. Trabajó incansablemente para promover el desarrollo adecuado y asegurar que se cumplieran las necesidades básicas de sus vecinos y de la comunidad, y que todos tuvieran el apoyo y los recursos necesarios para prosperar.

Apasionado por los autos, Feliciano disfrutaba asistir a exhibiciones de autos y mantenerse al día con los últimos modelos. También le encantaba que le tomaran fotos y siempre estaba listo con una cálida sonrisa.

Hábil como mecánico, plomero, techador y manitas, Feliciano podía hacer de todo. Estaba dedicado a su hogar, a su trabajo y a ayudar donde fuera necesario, siempre dando lo mejor de sí con humildad y cuidado.

Sobre todo, Feliciano fue un hombre de familia devoto. Su arduo trabajo, fe, carisma, lealtad y sonrisa cálida nunca serán olvidados. Fue un esposo amoroso para su esposa, Elva Hernandez; un padre cariñoso para sus hijos José David Hernandez (Alma Hernandez), Elva Liliana Perez, Evetier Hernandez (Maria Isabel Hernandez) y Feliciano Hernandez Jr. (Gabriela Loza); un hermano solidario para Luciana Hernandez; un tío querido para sus sobrinos y sobrinas; y un abuelo orgulloso e involucrado para Evetier Hernandez Jr., David Hernandez II, Amanda Gonzalez, Christian Hernandez, Lillian Perez, Nataly Hernandez, Sofia Hernandez y Liana Hernandez.

Feliciano siempre será recordado por su espíritu de Buen Samaritano, su fe inquebrantable y su sonrisa dorada que nunca se desvanecerá. Aunque ha partido al cielo, nunca será olvidado en la tierra.

Los servicios funerarios se llevarán a cabo en la Funeraria Del Angel Rose Lawn, el viernes, 30 de enero de 2026, desde las 4:30 pm a 10:00 pm con un rosario a las 7:00 pm.

El sábado, 31 de enero de 2026, la misa se celebrará en la Misión San Juan Diego de Guadalupe a las 10:00 am, seguida poco después por el entierro a las 11:00 am en Rose Lawn Memorial Gardens.
