Gary was an impressionable type of individual. He made friends with all walks of life and had long lasting friendships. He loved fishing, rock and country music. His smile was an infectious one and won't be forgotten. He loved and cherished ALL his family and friends. He loved his Kitty Meow, Budlight, pizza and fideo. He was also a very proud American.
Gary is survived by his mother Emily Betz Higginbotham; his sister Layla Lee Martinez (Arnoldo Martinez), his sister Tamara Denis Peña (Manuel Peña Jr.) and his sister Rhiannon Uvel Davis; his maternal grandmother Guadalupe Betz.
Gary was preceded in death by his father Gary Davis†; his paternal grandfather Henry Edward Davis†, his paternal grandmother Shirley Davis†, his maternal grandfather William Burke Betz†, his uncle George Allan Betz†, his uncle Joe Herny Davis†, and his uncle David Davis†.
He is survived by 4 nieces and 4 nephews and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and great relatives.
A visitation will be held Tuesday, August 17, 2021 from 3:00 PM to 9:00 PM with a prayer service at 7 pm in Chapel of Peace at Funeraria del Angel Buena Vista, 125 Mcdavitt Blvd, Brownsville, Texas 78521. A chapel service will occur Wednesday, August 18, 2021 at 12:00 PM in Chapel of Peace, 125 Mcdavitt Blvd, Brownsville, Texas 78521. Followed by a burial at Buena Vista Burial Park, 5 Mcdavitt Blvd, Brownsville, Texas 78521.
Serving as pallbearers are Tristan Peña, Alec Soto, Donny Barrientos, Joe Rey Rivera, William Zamora, Ivan Narvaez, Albert James Zamora and Dennis Zamora.
