Gloria A. Mamutt, a devoted and compassionate soul, passed away on December 28, 2025, at the age of 79. Born on November 16, 1946, Gloria was a resident of Brownsville, Texas. She was the embodiment of selflessness, strength, and unconditional love. Serving others was her biggest gift to the world, and she was adored for it. Creating and raising a family that values uplifting each other, she lived to serve.
Gloria is survived by her loving husband, Ruperto Mamutt, and her daughters: Araceli Trevino (Juan), Karina Tovar (Adrian), Maribel Espinoza (Luis), and Veronica Garcia (Adolfo). She was preceded in death by her son, Ruperto Mamutt Jr., her brother, Vicente Armendariz, and her mother, Petra Chacon.
A visitation will be held at Funeraria del Angel Buena Vista, located at 125 Mcdavitt Blvd, Brownsville, Texas, on December 31, 2025, from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm. A chapel service will follow at the same location, beginning at 2:00 pm. Gloria will be laid to rest at Buena Vista Burial Park, 5 Mcdavitt Blvd, Brownsville, Texas, with the burial service commencing at 3:00 pm.
Gloria's loyalty, patience, and devotion will be remembered by all who knew her. She leaves behind a legacy of compassion and love that will continue to inspire her family and friends.
