Mr. Lara was retired from the Public Utility Board after 32 years. He was a great father who spoiled his children at no cost, who will be deeply missed.
He is preceded in death by his mother; Guadalupe Carreon; nephew, Ramon Rivera Jr.; niece, Cassandra Rodriguez.
Homero is survived by his loving wife of 28 years, Irma Lara ; Sons, Homer Lara Jr., Emmanuel Lara and Edwardo Lara; daughter, Nancy Lara; nieces, Liz Valle and Patty Rivas;1 brother; 4 sisters and numerous of nieces and nephews.
Serving as pallbearers honorably will be; Homero Lara Jr., Emmanuel Lara, Arturo Lara Jr., Henry Lara, Rey Lara and Arturo Lara Sr.
Visitation will be held on Friday, August 28, 2015 from 11:00a.m. to 9:00p.m. with a Rosary at 7:00p.m. at Funeraria Del Angel Bueva Vista.
Mass will be held on Saturday, August 29, 2015 at 10:00a.m. at St. Marys Catholic Church (1914 Barnard Rd.) followed committal service at Rose Lawn Memorial Gardens.
