Ignacio Guevara Jr. passed away on January 09, 2021. At the age of 19 Ignacio (Nacho) became a boat captain until his retirement in 2018. After 64 years of navigating through the oceans with a devoted passion to fill his boat with an abundance of riches from the ocean. Learning and educating himself in the modern digital instruments was a challenge, but he endured and became proficient at the work he dearly loved doing. He'll be missed by his loved ones dearly.
He is preceded in death by his wife Amparo G. Guevara, parents Ignacio and Olivia E. Guevara, sisters Oralia Guevara, Anita G. Williams and brother Ovidio Guevara.
Surviving him are his daughters Rosie Murua, Olga Venegas and Irma Venegas. Brothers: Joe (Linda) Guevara, Polo Guevara (†), sisters: Maria Magdalena Garza (†), and Rosa G. (Leo) Rivera, 6 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. Several nephews and nieces.
Pallbearers will be Oscar Elizondo, Favio Balladares, Danny Paredes, Ramon Muñoz, Aurelio Garza, and Eldon Visarra.
Mass will be held Thursday, January 14, 2021 at 10:00 am at St. Luke Catholic Church, 2800 Rockwell DR., Brownsville, TX 78521, followed by a burial at Buena Vista Burial Park, 5 McDavitt Blvd., Brownsville, Tx.
