Isabel L. Guerra

"Chipe" Guerra touched every life he came across in many ways. He was devoted to his family, always sought out to help his neighbors, selflessly gave everything he had, and loved others the way God loves us. Through his hard work and labor, he built a beautiful life and home that his family can always treasure his memory in. Every conversation with him was filled with joy and laughter. His life will always be remembered and treasured here on earth until we can all be with him again.

Isabel is survived by his devoted wife of 53 years, Hortencia Guerra; son Gilbert Guerra (Claudia); daughter Alicia Guerra; and son Daniel Guerra; brother Oscar Guerra, brother Ernesto Guerra, brother Pedro Guerra, sister Lydia Sanchez, sister Margarita Flores and sister Christina Burell; grandson Gilberto J. Guerra, granddaughter Jennifer N. Guajardo, granddaughter Rebekah Yañez (Gilbert), granddaughter Amanda L. Guajardo, grandson Elliot L. Guerra and great granddaughter Esperanza Isabella Yañez.

Isabel was preceded in death by father Abel Guerra † and mother Aurora L. Guerra †; brother Guadalupe Guerra †; brother Antonio "La Cotorra" Guerra †; brother Abel Guerra †; brother Alfredo "Larry" Guerra and brother Armando Guerra †.

He is also survived by several nephews and nieces.

A visitation for Isabel will be held Monday, July 12, 2021 from 11:00 AM to 9:00 PM with a rosary at 7 PM in Chapel of Peace at Funeraria del Angel Buena Vista, 125 Mcdavitt Blvd, Brownsville, Texas 78521. A mass will be held Tuesday, July 13, 2021 at 2:00 PM at Christ The King Catholic Church, 2255 Southmost Rd, Brownsville, Texas 78521. Followed by a burial at Buena Vista Burial Park, 5 Mcdavitt Blvd, Brownsville, Texas 78521.
