Joaquin Hernandez

He was a devoted father who took immense pride in his work and in raising his children. His love for his family was unwavering, and he found joy in seeing them thrive.

Joaquin was a man of passion, with interests that reflected his vibrant personality. He enjoyed watching WWE, often sharing the excitement of the matches with those close to him. His love for music also filled his days, as he could often be found listening to his favorite tunes, finding solace and inspiration in the rhythm of the melodies.

A gifted athlete in his youth, Joaquin was an accomplished football player in high school, where he earned respect and admiration for his skill and determination on the field. His competitive spirit extended into all areas of his life, inspiring those around him to strive for greatness.

Joaquin was also an avid traveler, exploring new places and immersing himself in different cultures. Whether it was a weekend getaway or a grand adventure, he embraced the beauty of the world with curiosity and excitement.

Though Joaquin is no longer with us, his legacy lives on through the love he shared with his children, the memories he created with friends and family, and the values he instilled in those who knew him. He will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.

He is survived by his children, Stephanie Hernandez, Karina Padilla, and Christopher Hernandez. He is also survived by his sister, Celena Rios, granddaughter Josie Perez, nieces Celeste Rios, Candace Rios, and Chelsea Rios, and nephews Austin Rios and Jose Treviño.

Joaquin was predeceased by his parents, Aurora Garza and Genaro Hernandez.

A visitation will be held on December 4, 2025, from 2:00 pm to 9:00 pm at Funeraria Del Angel Buena Vista, Chapel Of Angels, located at 125 Mcdavitt Blvd, Brownsville, TX 78521. A chapel service will take place at 6:00 pm, followed by a rosary at 7:00 pm.

Joaquin Hernández falleció el 26 de noviembre de 2025, a la edad de 57 años. Nació el 15 de marzo de 1968.

Fue un padre devoto que sentía un inmenso orgullo por su trabajo y por la crianza de sus hijos. Su amor por su familia era inquebrantable, y encontraba alegría al verlos prosperar.

Joaquin era un hombre apasionado, con intereses que reflejaban su vibrante personalidad. Disfrutaba ver la WWE, compartiendo a menudo la emoción de las luchas con quienes lo rodeaban. Su amor por la música también llenaba sus días, pues solía escucharlo disfrutar de sus canciones favoritas, encontrando consuelo e inspiración en el ritmo de las melodías.

Un atleta talentoso en su juventud, Joaquin fue un destacado jugador de fútbol americano en la preparatoria, donde se ganó el respeto y la admiración por su habilidad y determinación en el campo. Le sobreviven sus hijos, Stephanie Hernández, Karina Padilla y Christopher Hernández. También le sobreviven su hermana, Celena Ríos; su nieta, Josie Pérez; sus sobrinas, Celeste Ríos, Candace Ríos y Chelsea Ríos; y sus sobrinos, Austin Ríos y José Treviño.

Joaquin fue precedido en muerte por sus padres, Aurora Garza y Genaro Hernández.

Se llevará a cabo una velación el 4 de diciembre de 2025, de 2:00 p. m. a 9:00 p. m., en Funeraria Del Angel Buena Vista, Chapel Of Angels, ubicada en 125 McDavitt Blvd, Brownsville, TX 78521. Habrá un servicio en la capilla a las 6:00 p. m., seguido por un rosario a las 7:00 p. m.
