Hey Joe may you rest in peace. I enjoyed living and making music with you when I moved to Corpus. I know you are one of God's singing angels.

On behalf of the Buitron family...I send Condolences especially to Joe's mom...(my Mom and Dad's Comadre) and to his beautiful wife along with the rest of the Lucio family...may Joe Rest in Peace...he will be missed.

I am very sorry to hear of your loss. My prayers and thoughts are with your family.

When Jesus heard that Lazarus had died, he "wept." That phrase, the shortest in the bible reflects my spirit when I heard that Joe had passed away.  Yet, we know that when Jesus asked that this cup be passed from him, he said, but "not my will but thine."  Joe has embarked on a journey that we all will make, and we are deeply saddened but also comforted, that he is with his Savior.  Our hope and prayer is that Joe's family is comforted by the "Precious Memories" of their life together.

We offer our prayers and condolences to the Lucio family at the passing of Joe.  He used his gifts as a gentleman, whether it was stroking a sweet 5-iron or entertaining with his wonderful guitar and voice.  May God bless you and keep alive the memories of a wonderful man and friend to all.

Mi carnalito Joe, I cannot fully express the degree of sorrow I feel knowing you have left us. I remember the first time we met. I was waiting tables at Louie's Back Yard after my Army tour in 1980. You were singing at the bar  and the owner/manager thought it was me singing as I walked by her. She asked me who was singing and od course I had to find out as well. We were both big Johnny Rodriguez fans and became close friends in a short time. It was God's intervention you started recording at the Fire Station Studio in San Marcos. Your CD is a great work of art. A memerable time that I will hold near and dear always.. I knew the owner Lucky Thimblin and I had the best time singing harmony and together writing the spanish parts of some songs. I am so going to miss you so much bro. All my Love to you and your family.

I would like to express my deepest condolences to the Lucio family. I met Joe Lucio at Christ the King Church in 1974 when I was 15 years old. He taught me a thing or two about picking a guitar. My most vivid memory of Joe was when we got together one day and did a rehearsal in one of the perish halls and as we sat to listen to him, he just smoothly picked on his guitar and began to talk to us about love. He looked at everyone of us and told us, "when you get home today I want for you to give your mother a hug and a kiss, and tell her that you love her." I will never forget that day or that moment because I could see the love and light of Christ in his eyes. He left a great memory in my heart that will stay with me forever. I didn't get to see much of him but I never forgot about him. As the years went by I enlisted in the Army and I was gone for many years. Around 14 years into my military service when I came home on leave I heard Joe Lucio was playing at C&C wings so I went to see him. We were both very happy to see each other. He asked me "are you still picking", and I said yes I am, then he asked me if I wanted to play a song on his guitar, and I said sure I would love to. So I got up on the mini stage and I sang "Better Man" by Clint Black. He enjoyed it and I enjoyed just being able to entertain him for once. When I heard of his departure I was deeply sorrowed! I loved him like a brother. RIP my brother, I will be picking my guitar on your behalf. Until we meet again, sincerely, Mario Arroyo.

My first karaoke I did with Joe. Every time I would come down I would make it a point to go to CC Wings to do karaoke with Joe and Adita.  I always remember him always asking me to sing certain songs. I would be so nervous and he would guide me through them. Thank you for all the wonderful memories.  I will be singing from San Antonio his song "Sweet Music Man".. I know he will hear me from heaven. I love you Adita and Joe! May God be with all of you.
