Jose Benjamin Orive Sr., 70, passed away on Monday, March 01, 2010 at Valley Baptist Medical Center in Brownsville, Texas surrounded by his loving family. He was a Staff Sergeant for the Texas Army National Guard for 16 years and later worked for Valley Wholesale and Sea Garden Sales for 25 years.
He is preceded in death by his father, Willie Guillermo Orive Sr.; mother, Dolores Hinojosa Orive and brother, Willie Orive Jr.
He is survived by his wife, Ruth G. Orive; son, Jose Benjamin Orive Jr.; daughter, Thalia Anne Orive; grandchildren, Ashlyn Erin Orive, Isaac Benjamin Orive; sisters, Maria Orive Cisneros (Sergio) and Lucy Orive Eastwood (Charles); numerous cousins and friends.
Visitation will be held from 1pm to 9pm with a rosary to be recited at 7pm on Friday, March 05, 2010 at Funeraria Del Angel Buena Vista.
A Chapel Service will be held at 2pm on Saturday, March 06, 2010 at Funeraria Del Angel Buena Vista with burial to follow at Buena Vista Burial Park.
