He was preceded in death by his father, Refugio H. Zamora and his son, Oscar Zamora.

He is survived by his wife, Alicia Nunez; mother, Olivia R. Zamora; daughter, Sandra Z. Coronado (Julio): sons, Jose R. Zamora, Jr. (Mitchell), and Ruben (Zaida) Zamora; 9 grandchildren, Julio C. Coronado, Jr., Kasandra Coronado, Lizette Coronado, Angel Christina Zamora, Jose Refugio Zamora III, Michael Gabriel Zamora, Ruben Zamora, Jr., Ryan Zamora and Rodney Zamora; sisters, Maria E. Rodriguez (Robert), Graciela Kaull (Mark+), and Nazaria (Miguel) Medina; brothers, Juan F. (Graciela) Zamora, Raul (Marilu) Zamora, Ricardo (Herlinda) Zamora, and Arnoldo (Herlinda) Zamora.

Visitation will be held from 1 pm to 9pm with a rosary service at 7pm on Sunday, April 3, 2011 at Funeraria Del Angel Buena Vista.

Mass of Resurrection will be held at 10 am on Monday, April 4, 2011 at Good Shepherd Catholic Church, 2645 Tulipan Street, Brownsville, Texas 78521.

Interment to follow at Rose Lawn Memorial Gardens.

Military Honors will be conducted by American Legion Post 43.
