Juan Mendez Zapata

Juan was well known for being a furry, outgoing person. He enjoyed going to his adult daycare with his friend. He always enjoyed going to Indiana to visit his children and his grandkids.

He was loved by a lot of people.

Juan is survived by his wife, Juana Muro Mendez, his Children; Silvia Mendez De Guevara; Guadalupe Ochoa; Juana Patricia Mendez; and Ramon Mendez, his sister; Elinda Mendez Zapata; his Grandchildren; Andrew Sierra, Stephanie Lopez, Alfonso Guevara, Rosalio Guajardo, Ramon Mendez Jr., Krystal Mendez, his Great-Grandchildren; Jaaziel Lopez and Genesis Lopez.

A visitation for Juan will be held Thursday, February 29, 2024 from 1:00PM to 9:30AM in Chapel of Angels at Funeraria del Angel Buena Vista, 125 Mcdavitt Blvd, Brownsville, Texas 78521. A mass will occur Friday, March 1, 2024 at 10:00 AM at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 1218 E Jefferson, Brownsville, Texas 78520. Followed by a burial will occur Friday, March 1, 2024 at 11:00 AM at Buena Vista Burial Park, 5 Mcdavitt Blvd, Brownsville, Texas 78521.

Serving as pallbearers are Ramon Mendez, Andrew Sierra, Alfonso Guevara, Rosalio Guajardo and Jorge Lopez.
