Con profundo amor y gran tristeza, la familia de Juanita Barron anuncia su fallecimiento. Juanita entró a las puertas del Cielo el 8 de diciembre de 2025 en Brownsville, Texas, rodeada del cariño de su amada familia. Nacida en Matamoros, México, hija de los difuntos Sostenes Cepeda y Gregoria López, vivió una vida arraigada en la fe, la fortaleza y el amor incondicional.
Católica devota y fiel seguidora de la Virgen de Guadalupe, la fortaleza de espíritu y la generosidad de Juanita conmovieron a todos los que tuvieron la dicha de conocerla. Su corazón estaba abierto a todos, especialmente a los necesitados, y vivía su fe no solo a través de la oración, sino también mediante actos diarios de bondad y servicio.
Juanita fue una madre dedicada, un pilar de resiliencia e independencia que inculcó a sus hijos los valores que marcaron sus vidas: amor, respeto, humildad y perseverancia. Su hogar era un lugar de encuentro lleno de calidez, risas y el aroma de su cocina, una de las muchas maneras en que demostraba su amor. Disfrutaba bailando y jugando animadas partidas de lotería, siempre contagiando alegría a quienes la rodeaban.
Su compasión, su dulce presencia y su apoyo incondicional la convirtieron en una persona en la que todos podían confiar. Para su familia, no solo fue madre, abuela y bisabuela, sino también una fuente de consuelo, guía y amor incondicional.
Le sobreviven sus amados hijos: Anna Barron (Joey Cortez), Jose Barron (Juani), Alejandro Barron y Cezar Barron (Brenda); sus nietos: Ivan Cortez, Jose Angel Barron, Tristen Cortez, Lizbeth Barron, Sebastian Barron y Christian Barron; sus bisnietos: Ethan Cortez, Dylan Cortez y Liam Cortez; su exesposo, Manuel Barron, así como numerosos sobrinos, sobrinas, familiares y amigos.
Juanita se reúne en el cielo con su querido hijo, Emmanuel Barron; su preciosa nieta, Eve Vianey Cortez; sus padres, Sostenes Cepeda y Gregoria López; y sus hermanos, Evangelina Cepeda, Sostenes Cepeda, Jesus Luna y Ninfa Carmona.
La vida de Juanita fue un testimonio de amor, fe y generosidad. Su legado perdurará en los corazones de su familia y en todas las vidas que tocó. Será recordada por siempre, profundamente extrañada y eternamente amada. El velorio de Juanita se llevará a cabo el domingo 14 de diciembre de 2025, de 3:00 p.m. a 10:00 p.m., con el rezo del Santo Rosario a las 7:00 p.m. en la Funeraria Del Angel Buena Vista. La familia recibirá nuevamente a los asistentes el lunes 15 de diciembre de 2025, a partir de las 9:00 a.m., y posteriormente se celebrará la Misa fúnebre en la Iglesia Católica de San Eugenio de Mazenod.

With profound love and deep sorrow, the family of Juanita Barron announces her passing. Juanita entered the gates of Heaven on December 8, 2025, in Brownsville, Texas, embraced by the presence of her beloved family. Born in Matamoros, Mexico, to the late Sostenes Cepeda and Gregoria Lopez, she lived a life rooted in faith, strength, and unconditional love.
A proud Catholic and dedicated Guadalupana, Juanita’s strength of spirit and generosity touched all who had the blessing of knowing her. Her heart was open to everyone, especially those in need, and she lived her faith not just in prayer, but through daily acts of kindness and service.
Juanita was a devoted mother, a pillar of resilience and independence who taught her children the values that shaped their lives: love, respect, humility, and perseverance. Her home was a gathering place filled with warmth, laughter, and the aroma of her cooking, one of the many ways she showed love. She delighted in dancing, and enjoying spirited games of lotería, always bringing joy to the moment.
Her compassion, her gentle presence, and her steadfast support made her someone everyone could count on. To her family, she was not only a mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, but a source of comfort, guidance, and unconditional love.
Left to cherish her memory are her beloved children; Anna Barron (Joey Cortez), Jose Barron (Juani), Alejandro Barron and Cezar Barron (Brenda); grandchildren; Ivan Cortez, Jose Angel Barron, Tristen Cortez, Lizbeth Barron, Sebastian Barron, and Christian Barron; great-grandchildren; Ethan Cortez, Dylan Cortez, and Liam Cortez; ex-husband, Manuel Barron, as well as numerous nieces, nephews extended family and a various friends.
Juanita is reunited in heaven with her dearly loved son, Emmanuel Barron; her precious granddaughter, Eve Vianey Cortez; her parents, Sostenes Cepeda and Gregoria Lopez; siblings, Evangelina Cepeda, Sostenes Cepeda, Jesus Luna, and Ninfa Carmona.
Juanita’s life was a testament to love, faith, and generosity. Her legacy will continue to live on in the hearts of her family and in all the lives she touched. She will be forever remembered, deeply missed, and eternally loved.
A visitation for Juanita will be held on Sunday, December 14, 2025, from 3:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m., with the recitation of the Holy Rosary at 7:00 p.m. at Funeraria Del Angel Buena Vista. The family will again receive guests on Monday, December 15, 2025, beginning at 9:00 a.m., with her Funeral Mass to follow at St. Eugene de Mazenod Catholic Church.
