Leticia Garcia passed away peacefully on May 18, 2025, in Brownsville, Texas. She was a woman of deep love, boundless warmth, and unwavering spirit, whose presence brightened every room and whose generosity left a lasting impact on all who knew her.
Born to Roman and Andrea Garcia, Leticia grew up in a close-knit family and carried those values of loyalty, love, and resilience throughout her life. For 46 wonderful years, she shared her journey with her devoted partner, Vangie Torres. Together, they built a beautiful life filled with love, laughter, and unforgettable memories.
Leticia was a proud and loving mother to Hilarie Bautista, Melissa Garcia, and Abigail Perez, and a cherished grandmother to Cassandra Garcia, Mia Alegre, Aaliyah Juarez, Anna Alegre, Mario Alegre, Jaylah Perez, and Remy Smith. Her family was the heart of her world, and she poured her love into every moment she spent with them.
Known for her incredible cooking and especially her love of BBQ, Leticia had a gift for bringing people together through food and conversation. She was the kind of cook whose dishes told stories and brought comfort. A dedicated Dallas Cowboys fan, she could often be found cheering on her team with passionate loyalty.
Leticia is survived by her loving brothers Gilberto (Leo) Garcia, Jaime Garcia, Daniel Garcia, Rey Garcia, and Roberto Garcia; and by her dear sisters Guadalupe Perez, Graciela Ramirez, and Maria Alicia Gutierrez. She is preceded in death by her sister Norma Garcia, whom she held dearly in her heart.
A visitation for Leticia will be held Sunday, May 25, 2025 from 1:00 PM to 12:00 AM with a rosary to be recited at 6pm at Funeraria Del Angel Buena Vista, 125 Mcdavitt Blvd, Brownsville, TX 78521.
Leticia Garcia’s legacy of love, kindness, and strength will live on in all who were lucky enough to know her. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered
