

She was born on December 3, 1927, in Golden Meadow, Louisiana, to Gustave and Blanche Guilbeau.
Luna lived a life of love, devotion, and service. She was a dedicated and caring wife to her beloved husband, Orleans Pitre Eymard, and a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Her life was all about family, and she poured her heart into raising her children and supporting those she loved.
In addition to her family, Luna gave much of her time to her church and community. She was an active member of the Ladies Altar Society at St. Luke’s Catholic Church in Brownsville, and she also volunteered with the American Cancer Society and the Good Samaritan Home. Her faith, kindness, and generosity touched many lives.
She is survived by her children: David Eymard (Donna), Arlene Barefoot (Bruce), Phillip Eymard (Beverley), and Bernadette Trevino; nine grandchildren: Nicole Eymard, Dax Eymard, Candice Eymard, Aaron Barefoot, Ashley Barefoot, Alan Barefoot, Ian Eymard, Ely Eymard, and Thomas Trevino; and eleven great-grandchildren: Sergio Gonzalez Jr., Emile Gonzalez, Chase Stanton, Winry Eymard, Emery Eymard, Dax Eymard II, Devin Rea, Kade Barefoot, AbbieLane Barefoot, AllieRyan Barefoot, and Hunter Eymard.
She is also survived by Aurelia Malia, her devoted caregiver who lovingly cared for Luna each day until her passing, with the support of her family. The family is forever grateful for Aurelia’s love and dedication. She is further survived by many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Orleans Pitre Eymard; her parents, Gustave and Blanche Guilbeau; and her siblings, Pearl Peterson and Gustave Guilbeau Jr.
A private family funeral will be held.
She will be dearly missed and lovingly remembered for her devotion to her family, her faith, and her community.
