Margarita M. Delgado 94 yrs. was a member of Christ the King Church, a devoted Cristian, a very spiritual , loving mother and grandmother, great grandma and friend. She was a sales associate for 35 years at Feder Fine Fabrics La Amigo, and La America stores downtown Brownsville. During her lifespan she served Christ the King community with many events "chalupa" Valley Interfaith; CCD teacher; marriage preparation; baptism preparation. She was a true "crusiesta" was involved in the "cursillo movement". She loved her family and friends was a very positive person. Our great matriarch is safe in the arms of our great savior, Jesus Christ. She will truly be missed. We love you mom; Grandma Maggie R.I.P..
Margarita is survived by her daughter Cristina Delgado Salazar; and her son Rodolfo M. Delgado; her brother Pete Montez; her grandson Rudy Delgado Jr., her granddaughter Leticia Lopez, her grandson Eric J. Delgado, her grandson Erasmo Salazar, her grandson Roberto M. Salazar, her grandson Mark Salazar, her grandson Jose D. Delgado, her granddaughter Laura Delgado, her granddaughter Monica Delgado Lucas and her granddaughter Nicolas A. Delgado.
Margarita was preceded in death by her beloved husband Jose Antonio Delgado†; her son Jose Delgado†; her mother Elvira Garcia Montes† and her father Pedro Montes†; her brother Manuel Montez†; her brother Juan Montez† and her brother Cipriano Montez†; her grandson Ted Delgado†.
She is also survived by 9 great grandchildren.
A visitation will be held Thursday, August 12, 2021 from 1:00 PM to 9:00 PM in Chapel of Peace at Funeraria del Angel Buena Vista, 125 Mcdavitt Blvd, Brownsville, Texas 78521. A mass will occur Friday, August 13, 2021 at 2:00 PM at Christ The King Catholic Church, 2255 Southmost Rd, Brownsville, Texas 78521. Followed by a burial at Buena Vista Burial Park, 5 Mcdavitt Blvd, Brownsville, Texas 78521.
Serving as pallbearers are Eric Delgado, Rudy Delgado , Jose D. Delgado, Marco Salazar, Roberto Salazar, Carlos Hernandez, Pete Montez, Rodolfo Delgado and Cristina D. Salazar.
