Margarita "Maggie" Torres, a beloved mother, aunt, sister, dedicated healthcare worker, and cherished friend to many, passed away peacefully on 06/05/2024 at the age of 55. Maggie's unwavering commitment to her work, her family, her faith, and her community left an undeniable mark on all who knew her.
Born on 10/17/1968, Maggie was known for her tireless work ethic and compassionate nature. She spent 25+ years in the healthcare field, where she touched countless lives with her kindness and dedication. Her colleagues admired her for her expertise, her patients cherished her for her care, and her family loved her for her warmth and generosity.
Maggie was a devout Christian woman and a dedicated member of the ICC in Brownsville, Texas, where she found joy and solace in her faith and community.
Margarita was preceded in death by her beloved parents Maria Altagracia Ramirez and Sylvestre Torres.
Margarita Torres is survived by her daughters Ashley N. Alonzo (Miguel), Stacey A. Garcia, and Sabrina Garcia.
She is also survived by her granddaughter Athena A. Sanchez and aunt Maria Piedad Ramirez. Her siblings are also Guadalupe Torres, Gloria Torres, Luis Torres, Alberto Torres (Marylou), Santana Torres (Norma), Clemente Torres(Margot), Silvestre Torres Jr. (Linda), Augustin Rosas Reynaga (Norma) and Jesus Ramirez.
Serving as Pallbearers are Ricardo Aquines, Miguel Alonzo, Gerardo Galvan, Ricky Aquines, Augustin Rosas Ramirez and Juan Garcia Jr.
A memorial service to celebrate Maggie's life will be held on Sunday, June 9th, 2024 from 2:00 PM to 9:00 PM with a prayer service at 4:00 PM at Funeraria Del Angel Rose Lawn. A chapel service will occur Monday, June 10, 2024 at 9:00 AM at Funeraria Del Angel Rose Lawn followed by a burial at 10:00 AM at Rose Lawn Memorial Gardens.
