

She worked at El Teatro victoria for many years. She then worked at Woolworth and Terry Ferris until her retirement. Socorro was a strong willed Christian and, a considered a pillar of strength to the entire family. Her never-ending love, guidance and commitment to all her family members, which was one of her best traits. She enjoyed family gatherings where she was ready to sing her Spanish romantic songs “Un Viejo Amo, Solamente Una Vez” and many others.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Josefina M. Garcia and Ventura Garcia; her brother Fernando M. Garcia; her sister Luz Garcia.
She is survived by her sisters, Guadalupe Guzman, Rosa Ruiz and Josefina (Josie) Hernandez; Lupita Garza; and her son Roger Muñoz.
Visitation will be held at Funeraria Del Angel Buena Vista today Friday, March 29, 2013 from 10 am to 9pm with a Holy Rosary at 7pm.
A Chapel Service will be held at 10 am on Saturday, March 30, 2013, at Funeraria Del Angel Buena Vista.
Serving as Pallbearers will be Joel Hernandez, Guadalupe Cantu, Tony Cantu, George Hernandez and Joe Arredondo.
