Maggie was born in Brownsville, Texas to Vicente and Lydia Castorena April 19, 1943 and both have preceded her in death.
Maggie was also preceded in death by her sister Rachel Otani and brother Daniel Castorena.
Maggie is survived by her husband and rib of over 45 years Lionel Lopez Gonzalez of Brownsville, Texas. Daughter Yvonne Melissa Hollenbeck of McAllen, Texas. Son Alfred Hollenbeck., Jr, daughter-in-law Talisha Hollenbeck, granddaughter Isabella Nichole Hollenbeck and grandson Vincent Fred Hollenbeck from Wimberley, Texas. Granddaughter Alexandria Shelby Hollenbeck from San Antonio, Texas.
As a daughter of Brownsville, Maggie found great reward in serving her Cameron County community for over 22 years as an election judge.
May she be received ever so gently in the palm of HIS hands.
Celebration of life services will be held by Buena Vista Funeral home located at 125 Mcdavitt Blvd., Brownsville, TX., 78521.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 16, 2022 from 11am to 7pm with a rosary beginning at 7pm. Continued visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 17, 2022 from 8am to 9:30am with a loving tribute by family starting at 9:30am and a chapel service starting at 10am followed by a graveside service at 11 am.
