Ninfa Garcia Olivarez, a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend, passed away surrounded by love, leaving behind a legacy of strength, kindness, and unwavering devotion to her family.
Ninfa was the proud mother of five children, a cherished grandmother to fourteen, and a loving great-grandmother to three. Her family was her greatest joy, and she poured her heart into each generation, creating a bond that will live on forever.
Known as the strongest woman with a heart of gold, Ninfa was always the first to offer a helping hand. Her generosity knew no limits, and her warmth touched everyone who had the blessing of knowing her. She was not only a devoted mother to her own children, but also a mother figure to many others whom she held close to her heart, offering guidance, comfort, and unconditional love.
Ninfa’s strength carried her through life’s challenges, and her love carried those around her. She leaves behind not only cherished memories, but a powerful example of resilience, compassion, and selflessness.
Though she is no longer with us, her spirit lives on in the lives she shaped and the love she gave so freely. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
She is survived by her children: Juan A. Olivarez (Veronica), Adelita Otero (Mark), Ricardo Martinez (Gabriela), Lori Cantu (David), and Claudia E. Abete. She is also survived by her grandchildren: Jessica Otero, Noah Otero, Jasmine A. Arce, M. Isabelle Martinez, Miranda L. Martinez, Ricardo G. Martinez, Lauro J. Martinez, David Cantu Jr.(Emily), Nadine A. Hayman(Tucker), Annali Cantu, Aleyda Cantu, Lori A. Cantu, Jesus R. Palacios, and Jimena A. Palacios; and by her great-grandchildren: Sofia L.Cantu, Olivia E. Hayman, and Harper A. Hayman. She is further survived by her brothers: Robert Garcia (Beatrice), Ruben Garcia (Mary), and Rogelio Garcia (Lupita).
She was preceded in death by her father, Jose M. Garcia; her mother, Rosalia Garcia; her sister, Opelinda Garcia; and her husband, Alfredo Olivarez.
Pallbearers will be Ricardo Gabriel Martinez, Jesus Ramon Palacios, Juan Alfredo Olivarez, Ricardo Martinez, David Cantu, David Cantu Jr., Mark Otero, and Noah Otero.

Visitation will be held at Funeraria Del Angel Buena Vista, 125 Mcdavitt Blvd, Brownsville, TX 78521, US, on April 27, 2026, from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm.
Mass will be held at Christ The King Catholic Church, 2255 Southmost Rd, Brownsville, Texas 78521, on April 27, 2026, at 2:00 pm.
Burial will be held at Buena Vista Burial Park, 5 Mcdavitt Blvd, Brownsville, Texas 78521, on April 27, 2026, at 3:00 pm.
