

Ninfa Salazar, a cherished resident of Brownsville, Texas, passed away on January 5, 2026, at the age of 88. Born on October 5, 1937, in Mexico, Ninfa was known for her warm and loving nature, which touched the lives of all who knew her.
Ninfa Salazar was a woman of faith whose life was guided by love, humility, and devotion to God and family. A devoted wife to her beloved husband, Francisco Salazar, she lived with a quiet strength and a servant’s heart, always placing the needs of others before her own. She was also a loving mother, daughter, sister, aunt, and grandmother. She was a woman who led her home with integrity, loyalty, and unwavering support for everyone.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Rafael Pizana and Irene Pizana; her cherished daughter, Lucinda Salazar Dominguez; and her siblings Ramon Pizana, Rafael Pizana, and Graciela Gracia. She was also preceded in death by her grandparents, Mariana Atkinson, Ignacio Manzano, Izabella Atkinson, and Ramon Pizana.
Ninfa dedicated her life to raising and caring for her children and lovingly helping raise her nieces, nephews, and grandchildren. Her faith was lived out through her actions through service and unconditional love. She found joy in knitting, sewing, and cooking, often using these talents to bless her family. Yet, above all else, her greatest joy came from having her family around her. They were her greatest blessing, and she loved them with her whole heart.
She is survived by her children Humberto Salazar, Hugo Salazar, Maricela Pezeshki (David), and Maribel Salazar Vivero (Javier). She is also survived by her sisters Guadalupe Zepeda and Maria Elia Castro. Her grandchildren Emma Pezeshki, Javier Vivero III, Sofia Pezeshki, Luis Vivero, and Katherine Vivero, were a constant source of joy and pride in her life and will carry with them beautiful memories of her.
Though she has gone to her eternal rest, Ninfa Salazar’s love and faith continue to live on in the hearts of those she leaves behind. We take comfort in knowing she now rests in the presence of the Lord.
Her Pallbearers will be Humberto Salazar, Hugo Salazar, Javier Vivero III, Javier Vivero Jr., David Pezeshki, and Celedonio Gracia Jr. and Honorary Pallbearer will be Luis Vivero.
A visitation will be held at Funeraria Del Angel Buena Vista, located at 125 Mcdavitt Blvd, Brownsville, TX, 78521, on January 12, 2026, from 4:00 pm to 9:00 pm. A prayer service will also take place at the same location on January 12, 2026, from 7:00 pm to 8:00 pm.
The funeral service will be conducted at Holy Family Church, situated at 2405 E Tyler St, Brownsville, TX, 78520, on January 13, 2026, from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm.
Ninfa's memory will forever remain in the hearts of her family and friends.
