Prospero De León

Mr. De León dedicated his life to his family and his work. As a baker at Reyes Bakery in Port Isabel, he took great pride in his craft, dedicating over 50 years to his profession. He was married to his beloved wife for more than 50 years, and together they shared a love for traveling throughout Mexico. One of his favorite pastimes was spending time in Matamoros, where he enjoyed playing pool and dominoes.

Prospero is survived by his spouse: Bertha De León; his children: Patricia I. De León (Joe R. Barbee), Maria Isabel De León(Jorge Mata) and Juan Jose De León; his Siblings: Miguel De León, and Carolina De León Diaz; his grandchildren: Sergio Mata, Jorge E. Mata, Myrella E. Diaz (Donovan Alec Ramos), Vincent Guitron and great grandchild, Giovanni Alec Ramos.

A visitation for Prospero will be held Saturday, February 15, 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM with a Rosary starting at 1:00 PM and a Chapel Service at 2:00 PM in Chapel of Angels at Funeraria Del Angel Buena Vista, followed by a burial at 3:00 PM at Buena Vista Burial Park, 5 Mcdavitt Blvd, Brownsville, Texas 78521.
