Rev. Roberto Hernandez

entered into eternal rest on Saturday, October 19, 2019 in Brownsville, Texas surrounded by his loving family. Rev. Roberto has been the pastor of Iglesia de Dios Pentecostal Templo Eben-Ezer for 53 years. He served the Lord by preaching the Gospel and mentoring many families in our community. He, along with his wife Angelita Hernandez, brought many souls to the Lord.

Rev. Roberto is preceded in death by his wife Maria de Los Angeles (Angelita) Hernandez. (†)

Left to cherish his memory are his 5 children: Roberto Jr. (Alicia)Hernandez, Sergio (Yolanda) Hernandez, Marisela (Julian) Chong, Ruben (Diana) Hernandez, Joel (Eneida) Hernandez, 14 grandchildren, and 16 great-grandchildren.

Serving as Pallbearers are Michael Hernandez, Sergio Hernandez Jr., Adrian Hernandez, Julian Chong Jr., Edgar Chong, Samuel Chong, Ruben Hernandez Jr., Jacob Hernandez, and Eric Hernandez. Honorary Pallbearers will be his 5 children.

Visitation will begin Monday, October 21, 2019 from 4:00 pm to 10:00 pm with a prayer service at 7:00 pm at Iglesia de Dios Pentecostal Templo Eben-Ezer, 4294 Southmost Blvd. Brownsville, Tx. Visitation continues Tuesday, October 22, 2019 from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm at Iglesia de Dios Pentecostal Templo Eben-Ezer with Funeral Service at 2:00 pm followed by a committal service to Rose Lawn Memorial Gardens.
