Bobby was born on October 17, 1985 to Ricardo Silguero and Diana Tijerina. He is survived by his wife, Jayme Hunter-Silguero; children, Taylor Irene (16), Riley Michael (10), and Regan Ruth (11 months); parents, Ricardo Silguero and Diana Tijerina; grandparents, Roberto and Alicia Tijerina; sister, Kristen (Sanjay) Mahbubani; brother, David Silguero; nieces, Madisyn Dianne Mahbubani, Savannah Hayden, and Charlotte Paulie Hunter; nephew, Walter Paul Hunter; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and loved ones. He is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Raul and Maria A. Silguero; great-grandmother, Angelita Garcia; and his uncles, Roberto Tijerina, Jr. and Robert Silguero.
Bobby was a life-long resident of Brownsville, Texas. He graduated from Homer Hanna High School in 2004. After high school, Bobby worked for American Airlines Group (Envoy Air) while attending classes at Texas Southmost College and the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley. He loved to travel, especially to attend soccer games, around the U.S. and Europe. He was an avid lover of all sports, but the teams that were closest to his heart were the Houston Astros, Houston Texans, and Chelsea Football Club (because Manchester United is lame!). Bobby’s sense of humor was unmatched, and we will miss his laugh and the energy he brought into any room. Above all, he loved his family, and we all loved him. We will forever cherish his memory as a devoted husband, father, son, brother, uncle, nephew, cousin, and friend. Excelsior!
Visitation will take place on Thursday, July 15, at Del Angel Buena Vista Funeral Home, 125 McDavitt Boulevard, Brownsville, Texas. A private visitation for family will be held from 10am-1pm, and all visitors will be invited for viewing from 1-9pm. A prayer service will begin at 7pm.
Funeral services will be conducted at 10am on Friday, July 16, at St. Mary's Catholic Church, 1914 Barnard Road, Brownsville, Texas, with interment to follow at Buena Vista Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be Rodolfo McLane, Ray Garza, Juan Jose Castañeda, Christopher Hunter, Roland Garza, Andrew Garza, Samuel Lee Perez, Jr., and Sanjay Mahbubani. Honorary pallbearers will be Kristen Mahbubani and David Silguero.
