

He was raised in Brownsville by his wonderful parents, Roberto and Herlinda Alatorre, who have preceded him in death.
Roberto retired from the banking business after 37 years having worked for First National Bank, Brownsville National Bank and Texas Bank and Trust. He served in the United States Air Force from 1956 to 1960.
He was also preceded in death by his sisters, Viola Farias (Guile Sr.+) of Corpus Christi and Rosa Mellot (Frank Mellott +) of Brownsville, Texas.
He is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Maria Alatorre and a son Robert Alatorre III and grand daughter, Ana Gabriella Alatorre. Roberto is also survived by his siblings, Elia Gonzalez (Jesse), Rachel Canant (Willie+), Raul Alatorre (Angelita), David Alatorre (Lee), Reynaldo Alatorre (Frances), Jesus Eduardo Alatorre; sister-in-law, Guadalupe Saucedo; and brother-in-law, Ramon Treviño.
Visitation will be held at Funeraria Del Angel Buena Vista on Tuesday, December 13, 2011 from 2:00p.m. until 9:00p.m. with a rosary to be prayed at 7:00p.m.
Funeral Service will be held at St. Luke Catholic Church on Wednesday, December 14, 2011 at 10:00a.m.
Interment to follow at RoseLawn Memorial Gardens.
Pallbearers will be David M. Farias, Guile Farias, Jr., Robert Gonzalez, Raul Alatorre, Jr., Manuel Saucedo, Jr., and Valentin Sanchez.
