With heavy hearts and deep love, we announce the passing of Rosa Esquivel, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. Rosa left this world surrounded by family, carrying with her the warmth and love she so generously shared throughout her life.
Rosa had a deep appreciation for the simple, beautiful things in life. Her home bloomed with life thanks to her green thumb and her love for plants and flowers, which she nurtured with care. She found joy in the vibrant sounds of Tejano music and rancheras, and she often spent her time watching Mexican TV shows that brought her laughter.
A spirited and joyful soul, Rosa loved playing Chalupa with family and friends, always bringing smiles and good-hearted fun to the table. Her greatest joy, however, was her family. Sundays were sacred — a time for cookouts, laughter, and togetherness. These gatherings, full of warmth and shared stories, were a reflection of the love she poured into those around her.
Rosa was a devoted wife, a proud and loving mother, a caring grandmother, and a cherished sister. Her presence was a source of comfort and strength, and her memory will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
Her legacy is one of love, joy, and deep-rooted family values — a life beautifully lived and deeply missed.
Rosa is survived by her husband, Victoriano Esquivel; her daughter Lety C. Esquivel; her granddaughter Sofia Victoria Carranza and her siblings Juan Cervantes, Pedro Cervantes, Marylou Garcia, Julian Cervantes Jr., Robert Cervantes and Maria Elena Mireles.
Rosa was preceded in death by her father Julian Zarate Cervantes Sr. †, her mother Rosa Guerra Cervantes † and her brother Jose Cervantes †.
