We are deeply saddened to announce the passing of a beloved individual who dedicated 26 years of his life to the Union Pacific Railroad. His long tenure was marked by numerous awards recognizing his outstanding performance and unwavering commitment to safety and mentorship. His guidance made a lasting impact on his colleagues and contributed significantly to the well-being of his team.
He held an Associate Degree in Auto Mechanics and had a lifelong passion for working with his hands. From a young age, he found joy in fishing and was a devoted animal lover. His compassion led him to rescue many animals throughout his life, including his faithful dog and constant companion, "Budweiser," who went everywhere with him.
He had a special love for cars, especially his cherished Camaro gifted to him by his mother. He enjoyed working on it and even used it for drag racing in his younger years. His love for BBQ, cooking, and sharing beers with friends and family brought people together and created countless fond memories.
Later in life, he found joy in traveling, camping, and capturing the beauty of nature through photography. He lived life fully and generously, known to many as a "compulsive Good Samaritan"—always ready with his tow rope and tools to help anyone in need.
He will be greatly missed by all who were fortunate enough to know him. His legacy of kindness, dedication, and adventurous spirit will live on in the hearts of everyone he touched.
