Proceeded in death by her parents Fransisco and Joaquina Rodriguez, her husband Alonso Capistran, and her children Jose M., Alberto, and Alma.
She is survived by her children Blanca (David) Betancourt, Alonso, Carlos (Linda), Ramon (Janeth), Miguel (Sandra), Sergio, Mary (Mark) Paxton, Rene (Theresa), Luis (Erika), and her sister Lupita Gracia. She is also survived by her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great great-grandchild.
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, Trinidad Capistran. She was an extraordinary woman, cherished wife, nurturing mother, adoring grandmother, great-grandmother, and proud great-great grandmother. Trinidad together with her husband were founders of Capistran Tortilla Factory, leaving behind an enduring legacy.
Her life was defined by her compassionate heart and unwavering dedication to helping others. Her benevolence touched countless lives, leaving an indelible impact on everyone fortunate enough to have crossed her path. She always lent a helping hand and selflessly focused on others' needs, making her a true pillar of strength within our community.
As we bid farewell to our beloved mother, we take solace in knowing that her legacy of kindness and love will forever live on in our hearts and the hearts of those she touched. May her gentle soul find eternal rest and peace.
During her final days, mom was showered with care and compassion by the exceptional team at Gentiva Hospice. Their unwavering commitment to providing her with the highest quality of life in her final moments surpassed all expectations. We would also like to extend gratitude to her primary doctor Ronaldo Factoriza, and doctors and staff at Valley Regional Medical Center.

A visitation for Trinidad will be held Thursday, November 30, 2023 from 1:00 PM to 9:00 PM with a rosary at 7:00 PM at Funeraria Del Angel Buena Vista, 125 Mcdavitt Blvd., Brownsville, TX 78521. A mass will occur Friday, December 1, 2023 at 2:00 PM at Our Lady Of Guadalupe Catholic Church, 1200 Lincoln St., Brownsville, TX 78521. A burial will occur Friday, December 1, 2023 at 3:00 PM at Buena Vista Burial Park, 5 Mcdavitt Blvd., Brownsville, TX 78521.
