

with family by his side. Memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Sunday September 1, at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church in Bryan.
Alan was born April 8, 1944 in Burlington, Vermont the son of Robert F.S. and Verona (Heard) Bridges. He proudly served our country in the U.S. Air Force from November 1962-66. Alan and Artie met on a bowling league. Bowling was one of Alan’s favorite hobbies. He also enjoyed Sudoku, gardening and crossword puzzles. On Sundays he enjoyed being with family and friends. He also enjoyed attending church at St. Anthony’s and helping with building the bazaar stands.On Sept. 1, 1972 he married the love of his life, Artie, of 41 years. He was blessed with one son, Aaron and a grandson, Thomas. Alan is preceded in death by his father, Robert Bridges, brother-in-law, Benny Cedillo; and his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Jesse Sr. and Paulita Martinez.
He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Hortencia “Artie” Bridges of Bryan; son, Aaron C. Bridges of Bryan; grandson, Thomas Joseph Bridges of Bryan; mother, Verona Bridges of Arlington, Tx., brother and sister-inlaw, Robert B. and Brenda Bridges of Dallas; sister and brother-in-law, Marcy and Mike Patton of Arlington; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Mary Helen Cedillo,
Paula Sharon and Robert Dotson, Hilda and Al Albin; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Jesse Jr. and Janie Martinez, Johnny and Sylvia Martinez; nieces and nephews, Colby Bridges, Stewart Patton, Haley McKinney, Paul Cedillo, Lori Bruffett, Michael Cedillo, Matthew Martinez, Laura Becerra, Randy Dotson, Amber Moehlman, Ana Alicia Martinez, Mike Albin, Stacy Nowels, Kevin Albin and Aaron Albin.
