Beatrice Iona (Grubbs) Schroeder

A Memorial Mass will be held 10:00 a.m. Friday June 12 at St. Joseph Catholic Church with Msgr. John McCaffrey officiating.

Beatrice was born January 5, 1922 in Bradford, PA. the daughter of Lawrence and Georgia (Griswold) Grubbs. She married Anthony August Schroeder May 6, 1940 in Springville, NY. In 1958 Anthony and Beatrice and their six children moved to Texas. Beatrice was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. She enjoyed crafting, crocheting and playing bingo.

Beatrice is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Anthony August Schroeder; two grandchildren, Whitt Blasingame and Amanda Schroeder; and a daughter-in-law, Sheron Schroeder.

She is survived by her children, Joanne Akins, David Schroeder, William Schroeder and wife Jeannie, Rex Schroeder, Thomas Schroeder and wife Sheila, Margaret Blasingame and husband George; grandchildren, Barbara Ponath, Dennis Akins, Debra Akins, Kristi Meadows, Kenneth Schroeder, Erin Schroeder and Eric Schroeder; great-grandchildren, Calvin, Abraham, Sarah, Kayce, Kyle, Emmy, Emily and Jessy; great-great-grandchildren, Makayla and Audrey Faith.
