Robbie, Tommy, Barbara Ann and families,
I was sadden to hear about your Mom's passing.  We kept in touch over the years until she went into the Nursing home.  She was feisty and always full of stories and updates since her last call.  I enjoyed hearing from her and missed her dearly when her calls stopped. Her nursing skills &  faith helped her live a very long life.  I have fond memories of all of you growing up. I never liked how our lives drifted apart and gatherings stopped after grandma Beran died and we grew older.  The last time I saw Aunt Betty, I thought, she sure favors Mom. This Christmas I received a card with a photo of her 100th Birthday enclosed. My heart skipped a few beats when I saw the photo. It was like Mom was looking at me. Without those home perms they sure looked alike.  When I showed it to John, he asked, when was this photo of mom taken? A few nieces and nephews I shared it with thought wow, looks like granny. Remarkable resemblance! Now they are together again with all our loved ones in heaven catching up and watching over all of us until we are together again.  Sorry I could not make the services. John is staying with me as he recovers from heart surgery.  Covid has us social distancing. May God comfort all of you during this sad time.  Sending love and prayers to all. I had the blessed pleasure of meeting Ms Bettie when my Mother in Law was her roommate. 
Ms. Bettie's stoic faith and strength were drawing and contagious, radiating to all who truly encountered her. May she now be pain free, as she 'walks' with Jesus!!

I only met Ms Bettie about 2 years ago at the Nursing Home when I moved my mom in there. My Mom was her room mate for a little while. Oh what stories she had of her long life. She told me many stories about being a nurse, we talked about cooking and gardening and so many other things. She was just a light and a blessing to me, I will always remember Ms Bettie. I am Bettie's niece and I did not have the pleasure of a relationship with her until about 10 years ago. I thank God for these past 10 years. Aunt Bettie has enriched my life with faith, hope and love!

I am most grateful to my sweet Aunt Bettie for the gift of her strong faith and love. Each story she shared (and re-shared) was woven with fond memories and acceptance of other people. Her strong faith in God was so very inspirational. Every time I visited her, she never forgot to thank me for visiting and would give me a smile upon my leaving.  She will always be in my prayers and I give thanks to God for bringing her into my life. Aunt Bettie, I love you---may you rest in peace and I will meet you in Heaven. love, Lisa

Donna and I are sorry for the loss of your dear mother. All are in our prayers. 

We were sorry to hear the news about Bettie. She was a fine lady and had a full life.
Allen moved next door to Bettie in 1980 and knew Bob (her husband) before he passed. 
We remember Bettie as a good neighbor and often saw her outside.
She loved her garden and getting things to grow – we often saw her out watering her plants and one year when we were just starting a garden she came over with her tiller and helped us till the soil. She was generous giving us plants and vegetables she grew in her garden. We remember her often sitting in a lawn chair watering her yard.
She had a variety of cats and dogs over the years. When she went to visit the neighbors on our other side, her large black cat, Demon, would sit patiently by our carport waiting for her to return.
Who can forget the many interesting stories she told us when visiting across the fence about her life growing up, during WWII, her nursing career and her family? To us she was truly one of a kind.
